Type specimen: Jacquemont 1537 resides at Paris (specimens P04544180, P04544185) and Geneve (specimen G00440572).

P. heydei (syn): Watt, J. Linn. Soc. 20:5. t. 4. 1882. Type specimen: T. Thomson 12 resides at KEW (specimen K000750288) and Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet, Sweden (specimen S09-47066).
P. saundersiana (syn): Royle ex Hooker f., Fl. Brit. India 3:494. 1882, in syn Type specimen: Royle? s.n. [1831] resides at National Museums Liverpool
P. stracheyi (syn): Hooker f. ex Munro, Garden (London) 16:535. 1879.

Distribution: NW and W Himalaya to W and C Nepal.

P. minutissima is a stoniferous species which forms mats in mossy areas, turf and north facing slopes. The leaves are pointed and yellow farina is present underneath. Can be confused with P. reptans where they meet in Himachal Pradesh, but the leaves and farina are diagnostic.
