Type specimen: Kerr 5582 resides at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (specimen E00024769), KEW (specimen K000750406) and British Museum (specimen BM000997010).
Epithet: Named for Siam, an old name for Thailand.
Distribution: N Thailand.
Very similar to P. spicata from Yunnan but distinguished by being more robust, corolla lobes subentire and only slightly crenate leaf margins. Grows in limestone crevices on Doi Chiang Dao mountain.
