Type specimen: Ludlow & Sherriff 2359 resides at British Museum (specimen BM000996906) and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (specimens E00024507, E00024508).

Epithet: Named for it only growing in crevices.
Distribution: Tibet, China.

Only collected once on the Kashong La at 5000m on the Tibet-Arunachal Pradesh border. The leaves are similar to P. clutterbuckii being oblanceolate to spathulate tapering into a winged petiole, apex subrounded, margin denticulate-serrate and with yellow farina below. Flowers similar to P. tenella, purplish-pink with a white to yellow eye, sparsely farinose on the outside, exannulate, 1-2 per scape.
